Community and Education Meeting Rooms
The Parr Health Enhancement Center (HEC) is named in honor of two very generous donors to St. Mary Medical Center, John and Jane Parr, who helped make the community and education meeting building possible.
The Health Enhancement Center also honors Sister Alphonsus Tallon, one of the beloved Sisters who spent many years providing care at St. Mary and who loved the Long Beach community.
The Parr Health Enhancement Center houses the medical center's education meeting rooms. Physicians, hospital departments, community groups and local agencies utilize the rooms for varied classes, meetings, events and conferences.
Health fairs, lectures, screenings and exercise classes are held in the HEC by the St. Mary Senior Center monthly. For more information about the programs offered, please contact the Senior Center at (562) 491-9811.
Monthly Surgical Weight Loss Seminars are held in the HEC every second Tuesday at 7:00 pm. For more information, please contact the Center for Surgical Treatment of Obesity at (562) 491-7935.
