Early Detection is An Important Factor

Leading-edge clinical research offers hope for many patients who have advanced disease.  But early detection is still a very important factor in curing many types of cancer.

The St. Mary Cancer Care Center sponsors ongoing prostate and breast cancer screenings with the latest diagnostic technology.  These screening opportunities are promoted regularly, in print and on the radio, to make sure people at risk know that convenient and affordable screening options are available.

Offering Support Groups and Educational Opportunities

Whether you're a patient or a loved one, cancer is a life-changing event. Learning more about the disease, getting questions answered and seeking out conversation with others experiencing similar issues and feelings really helps. That is why St. Mary offers a comprehensive array of seminars and support groups as part of its treatment plan. A Cancer Support Group for patients and survivors is held every Tuesday, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at 1043 Elm Avenue.
