Campaigns

Each year the St. Mary Medical Center Foundation conducts several campaigns in support of the mission of the hospital.

Annual Giving Campaign
Provides unrestricted gift income to help the Hospital maintain and improve the level of excellence that has defined St. Mary health care since 1923. The Foundation 21 Society, a special donor recognition group, is comprised of loyal friends who set exemplary standards of giving and contribute $500 or more annually in support of the work of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.   The 21 Society members attend special events and receive recognition at the hospital. Currently there are  517 members. Co-Chairs of the 21 Society are Hospital Board Members, Cheryl Lackman Feinberg and Henry Meyer. Medical Staff Co-Chairs are Dr. Dominic DeCristofaro, Dr. Bertram Sohl and Dr. Barry Heller. The membership Chair is Mark Mills.

Planned Giving Campaigns

Planned and Estate Giving Campaigns are ongoing to provide the hospital with future funds for operations and capital projects.

The Sr. Alphonsus Tallon Circle of Philanthropists

This elite philanthropy group honors Sr. Alphonsus Tallon's seventy years of dedicated service to the citizens of the Long Beach area.  The Circle of Philanthropists recognizes those who have provided for St. Mary in their estate plans through gifts that include wills, trusts, insurance policies, annuities, real estate, charitable trusts or gift annuities.  Members receive a special plaque and are honored at St. Mary's annual recognition luncheon.  Naming opportunities are also available to honor or memoralize members and/or loved ones.

Charitable Gift Planning

The St. Mary Medical Center Foundation offers multiple options and strategies for making a gift that will benefit both the medical center and the donor.  Donor benefits may include income tax deductions and reduced capital gains and estate taxes.
