Families in Good Health
Families in Good health (FIGH) is a
multilingual, multicultural health and social education program for
the Southeast Asian, Latino, and other communities in Long
Beach. FIGH's mission is to help the community make informed
choices and to access needed health and social resources. Some of
the programs are:

EM3/LS Programs: Educated
Men with Meaningful Messages (EM3) works to reduce teenage
pregnancy by involving young Southeast Asian, men in health
education, training, outreach, and advocacy among their peers
and community. Little Sisters (LS) is a mentoring
program providing education and support to young women who
are pregnant or parenting.

SEACHIP: The
Southeast Asian Children's Immunization Project (SEACHIP)
aims to increase the number of fully immunized Southeast
Asian children.

Medical Benefits
Program: The Medical Benefits Program informs
the Long Beach community of Healthy Families and MediCal
benefits, eligibility, and services, and works to increase
access to health care within Long Beach ethnic communities.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Research
and Outreach: This collaborative project works
with nine Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander ethnic
groups. Program activities include outreach and
education on early screening and patient navigation.
