Welcome to St. Mary Medical Center. We have served the healthcare
needs of Long Beach and its surrounding communities since 1923.
Founded by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of houston,
Texas, today's hospital is a direct result of their vision of
community service.

As you enter the hosptal, you arrive in our comfortable tranquil
lobby. In 2003, the main lobby was renamed the Henry & Marcella
Poitras Lobby in recognition of a $1 million donation from
supporter, Henry Poitras. The gift honors his wife, Marcella, who
was cared for at St. Mary's Cancer Center.

The St. Mary gift shop has a large selection of plants and flower
arrangements but also carries many unique items including a recipe
book developed by our Sisters and special holiday items.
